Mental Health and the Hybrid Campus
Case Study: How colleges can support all students
As the CDC continues to provide guidance to decrease the spread of COVID-19 among institutions of higher learning, more colleges are expected to respond to lasting uncertainty with hybrid learning models and campus services, including the college counseling center.
In 2020, 56% of students were worried about their ability to take care of their mental health. Although COVID-19 has significantly disrupted healthcare access, mental health support struggles are, unfortunately, not a new experience for students. Stigma, appointment availability, and confidentiality concerns have long prevented students from getting the support they need.
As challenges continue to rise, administrators are looking at internal and external programs to provide equitable support options to every
student, no matter their location.
