Learn best practices on how to support student mental health during Mental Health Awareness Month in May.

During this webinar, NYC school staff will learn about the NYC Teenspace program and resources such as promotional materials, classroom visits, and staff workshops to encourage students to participate in this important resource. The program team will share how other NYC schools have effectively promoted NYC Teenspace to their school communities through activities such as College Fairs, Health Classes, dedicated NYC Teenspace days and more.

The webinar will also cover the sign-up process, parent/guardian consent procedure, the crisis protocol, and how virtual therapy and self-guided resources can help address top school concerns such as absenteeism, behavioral concerns, and graduation rates.

NYC Teenspace, a program now offered by NYC Health Department powered by Talkspace, provides any NYC teen 13-17 with virtual therapy with a licensed therapist, at no cost, and is part of the Mayor’s mental health agenda focused on improving family and youth mental health.
